This is first of all the name of an inhabitable physio-morphological unit. But more precisely, it’s a term for a structural aesthetics conceived as a resultant geometry, posterior to the morphological fabrication of the inhabitable areas. The purpose is to emancipate ourselves from a conceptual logic that starts from a preconceived structure, and instead give rise to a physical matrix that reacts to the heterogeneities of human organization and adapts to the multiplicity of morphologies and the ambiguous desires of ″future purchasers.″ This open source approach can replace the determinist and predictable typology usually employed for collective residences.
